BMW NAIAS Debuts in US

BMW announced its premieres for the 2008 North American International Auto Show:
- the production version of the BMW X6 Sport Activity Coupe
- BMW 1 Series Convertible
- BMW Concept X6 ActiveHybrid
The BMW X6 Sport Activity Coupe will hit US showrooms in spring and will be offered as an X6 xDrive35i equipped with a 300 hp twin-turbo 3.0 liter inline 6-cylinder engine and as an X6 xDrive50i equipped with a new 400hp 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 engine.
The BMW 1 Series Convertible will go on sale in the US in the spring and will be offered as both
a 128i equipped with a 230hp Valvetronic inline 6-cylinder engine and as a 135i equipped with a 300hp twin-turbo 3.0 liter inline 6-cylinder engine.

BMW 3 Series E90 with LSD Wing Doors
The BMW 3 Series E90 with the wing doors has been launched by LSD. The BMW 3 Series E90 LSD wing doors are side crash tested and have the German TUV certificate. However, the LSD wing doors on the BMW 3 Series E90 can be mounted directly at the points of the original doors and feature the GRS+ (Guided Roller System). Press Release By mounting LSD wing door hinges, the quite unadventurous BMW 3 Series E90-saloon becomes a real show car. The wing doors hinges are available with immediate effect. BMW 320d Convertible will join the new BMW 3 Series line-up since it will be debuted at the Geneva Motorshow. The BMW 320d Convertible will be available in SE and M Sport versions. Powered by a 2.0 liter engine, the BMW 320d Convertible developing 177 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The price of BMW 320d SE Convertible will start at 33,110 pounds and the BMW 320d M sport Convertible price will start at 35,735 pounds. BMW announced that the BMW Hydrogen 7 Australian will be debuted next year in January a unique week-long public expo to be held. The BMW Hydrogen 7 will be showcased at the Federation Square in Melbourne from 21 - 29 January. Powered by a V12 engine developing 191 kW and 390 Nm of torque, The BMW Hydrogen 7 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 9.5 seconds and has a top speed (electronically limited) of 230 km/h. Unveiled at the 2008 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, the BMW M1 Homage concept car was designed to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the legendary M1. The BMW M1 Homage is a blend between Giorgio Giugiaro’s original design of the M1 and the concept of Paul Bracq. The BMW M1 Homage is built as a source of inspiration for the BMW Design team, and features a crash box, similar to the monocoque chassis of a Formula One race car. The price for 2008 BMW M3 Coupe will start at $71,300, and the price for 2008 BMW M3 Sedan will be at $69,900. While their third brother in the lineup - the 2008 BMW M3 Cabriolet, will be starting at $81,900 which go on sale on May 17th. The 2008 BMW M3 line-up will producing 414 hp at 8,300 rpm and 295 pound-feet of torque at 3,900 rpm since it’s powered by a V8 engine.
