Lotus has announce the introduction of the entry level 2-Eleven along with a range of Lotus Sport performance options. The Lotus 2-Eleven entry level has a top speed of 140 mph (225 km/h) and a 0 to 60 mph acceleration time of 4.3 seconds. With the Lotus Sport performance options added the Lotus 2-Eleven boost 242 Nm (179 lb.ft) of torque and a 150 mph top speed. The Lotus 2-Eleven entry level comes with a 252 bhp, 188 kw power upgrade, and the price will starts at £27,995. Lotus for Hybrid and Electric Cars

 
Lotus has announced that they has created a new group for research and development which will be focused solely on electric and hybrid vehicles. The introduction of the group shows Lotuss interest in the increasing importance of hybrid and electric cars. The research and development group will be led by Phil Barker. Phil Barker is an Executive Engineer working on hybrid and electric vehicles, who has been with Lotus since 2003. CEO, Mike Kimberley said that the new team will support the companys strong global growth on ecological technologies, and he is very pleased with the formation of the new team. Stanstead based Castle Lotus announced that will raise money for charity this Christmas through Lotus online sales by teaming up with internet shopping portal TheGivingMachine. The Lotus online sales consist of a variety of Lotus models ranging from toy and model cars to the real thing. Lotus Sport Exige GT4 Race Car

 
Lotus has made announcement that it has secured the allocation of the first four Lotus Sport Exige GT4 race cars that will be ready for the 2009 season. Powered by the 1.8-litre VVTL-i engine, the Lotus Sport Exige GT4 is develops 179kW and features a new aerodynamic package. Lotus also confirmed the availability of the Lotus Sport Exige Cup 260 version, which is a race-ready evolution of the Lotus Exige S.
